Obituary
Zelma Dean "Dee" Deaton, 80, of Martinez, entered into rest Saturday, March 18 at Keysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after her long struggle with Alzheimers Disease.
She was born on September 13, 1942 in Lee County, Virginia, daughter of the late Coy E. and Lela Grace Thomas Robbins.
She was a small-town girl, with humble beginnings and became a military wife and mom at a very young age. She started selling real estate in the 70s and was a prominent Agent & Broker who did very well in her career. She earned several awards including the million-dollar club for selling property in the Augusta area many times. She was a member of Abilene Baptist Church for many years. She loved the Lord with all her heart, and we know that she is with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ today.
She was preceded in death by her parents Coy and Leila Robbins; first husband, Arlie Deaton; second husband, Billy Wayne Sipes; granddaughter, Jennifer Amber Deaton; sister, Eloise Harris.
She is survived by her sons, Arlie Kelvin Deaton and his wife Julie, Christopher D. Deaton and his wife Debra; and one daughter, Tonya Michelle Toth. Her grandchildren include; Christa Deaton Rolon (Pedro), Alyssa Deaton Walker (Stephen), Jessica Michelle Gaston (Daniel), Tabatha Michelle Toth, Michael Corey Toth, and eleven Great Grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
