William "Bill" Goins, age 62 of the Big Hill Community in Pennington Gap, VA was born in Pennington Gap on Sunday, December 27, 1953 and passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, TN. Bill was retired from being a coal miner for BFW Enterprises and he enjoyed wood crafting with his specialty being making canes. He belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Wilma Goins of the home; his parents, Clarence and Dovie Goins; one son, Joshua Goins and wife Dawnna of Pennington gap, VA; two grandchildren, Drako Goins of Pennington Gap, VA and Haley Goins of Johnson City, TN; one brother, Jim Goins and wife Naomi of Rogersville, TN. He is also survived by a multitude of nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Monday, August 29, 2016 in the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Clarence Gibson and Doug Gibson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. Monday until time of service. Bill was so very proud of the progress his granddaughter Haley has made and continues to make at ETSU.
