Obituary William David Carpenter age 73 of Ewing, VA was born Tuesday, October 19, 1943 in Akron, OH and passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Rose Hill First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother Maudie Carpenter and adoptive parents Henry L. Dubbs and Marie B. Dubbs. William is survived by his brother Henry R Dubbs of Ewing, VA and a nephew David Conrad Dubbs and wife, Katie of Baldwin, LA. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the Rose Hill First Baptist Church with Carlos Wolfe officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM Thursday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers the family request the donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
