Waylon Lee Thomas Whitaker was born on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 to parents Neleh Virgin and Willis Whitaker while at UVA Medical Center and it was there he went to be with the Lord in his heavenly home on Thursday, February 19, 2026.

Waylon experienced hand holding with his mommy and daddy, hugs and kisses from his family and being told "I love you" an uncountable amount of times.

Waylon is deeply loved by his mommy and daddy, big sister; Dani Regan, his grandparents: Matthew Virgin, Shelley Williams, Thomas Whitaker and Jaimie Whitaker.

Waylon knew he was loved and will remain his parent's precious baby boy and Dani's little brother and they will hold him again in heaven one day.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Powell Valley Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm.

A private committal service will follow.
