Wanda Beatrice McFarland, 84, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at Lifecare Center in Hilton Head Island, SC. Wanda was born in Jonesville, Virginia on January 3, 1942 at home to Dan H. and Sally M. Mullins. Wanda also lived in Fairfield, CA, Concord, CA, Freemont, CA, Castle Rock, CO, Alexandria, IN, College Station, TX, Kingsport, TN and Hilton Head Island, SC. Her sudden departure leaves a deep void in the lives of those who knew and loved her, in other words, everyone.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Dan Harold and Sally Marie Mullins, her brother Ronnie Mullins, and her husband Jay Walter McFarland.

Wanda was a graduate of Jonesville, VA High School. She worked for Wellmont Hospital in Kingsport, TN for many years and retired from there.

Wanda leaves behind to cherish her memory her son Franklin Scott Bailey and his wife Lori K. of Ocala, Florida, her son Terry R. Bailey of Bluffton, SC, her grandson Daniel Bailey of Denver, CO and grandson Christopher C. Ritter of Charles City, VA, her great-grandson Theodore R. Bailey of Denver, CO her great-grandson Hudson C. Ritter of Charles City VA, her sister Juanita B. Marion of Pennington Gap, VA , her sister Sharon A. Adams and husband Dennis of Anderson, IN her brother David A. Mullins and wife Beverly A. of St. George, SC and sister Freda A. Mullins of New Tazewell, TN.

Wanda was a true angel on earth. She was kind and caring to everyone and she loved unconditionally. She was a bright light in everyone’s life that was blessed to know her. She will be truly missed.

Wanda loved to sing in the choir at church, she loved to attend church. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening. She loved to travel and she loved her family. She was a strong believer in the Lord and we take comfort knowing she is with him now.
