Obituary Walter Sonntag, age 90, of Duffield, VA, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020. He was born January 15, 1930 in Elizabeth, NJ. He retired working at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in New Jersey. Walter is preceded in death by his wife Dolores Sonntag; his parents George and Minnie Sonntag; his sisters Margaret, Florence, Bertha, and Helen; his brother George. Walter is survived by sons William "Bill" Avery (Juli), Richard Avery, and Steven Avery (Rita); daughter Diane Popick (Bob); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. A graveside service will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA with Father Drake officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 2:45 P.M.
