Virgal Ray Pearson, a resident of Dryden, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the age of 60. Born on Tuesday, September 13, 1966, in Seminary, Virginia, Virgal was known for his love of the great outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, which brought him immense joy throughout his life.

He is survived by his loving sister, Margaret Delph, and his half-sister, Diana Estep. Virgal was blessed with the companionship of his special friend, Lisa Pannell, and his devoted friend and caregiver, Sue Poteet. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will cherish his memory.

Virgal was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Joe Pearson, his mother, Verna Virginia Delph, his brothers, Alvin Joe Pearson and James Woodrow Pearson, and his sister, Nettie Lou Short Wade.

Private services will be held to honor Virgil's memory, as per his wishes.

Virgal Ray Pearson will be remembered for his love of nature, his enduring friendships, and the simple joys he found in life. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
