Obituary Velma 'Jean' McFarland age 73 of the Robbins Chapel Community of Keokee, VA was born Thursday, May 31, 1945 in Keokee and passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at her home. She was a member of the Apostolic of Lee County, loved being cook at the Robbins Chapel Elementary School and was later employed by the Donkenny Sewing Factory in Dryden, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Veista McFarland and several siblings. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of many extended family and friends. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Lane Pennington officiating and Brother Ben Vernon speaking. Burial will follow at the McFarland Cemetery in Keokee, VA.
