Velma Darlene Belcher age 71 of Jonesville, VA was born in Benedict, VA on Saturday, July 1, 1944 and she passed away Monday, August 31, 2015 at her home. She married Dewey Jackson Belcher on November 2, 1963, they had two children Robin Belcher Million of Appalachia, VA and Dewey Mark Belcher of Jonesville, VA. She was a homemaker loved quilting and was a member of the Church of Christ of Jonesville, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband Dewey Jackson Belcher on June 30, 2000 and her parents Dan and Willie Mae (Allen) Cox. In addition to her children she is also survived by her grandchildren C.J. Belcher and Derrick Belcher of Jonesville, VA, Heather Belcher of Hilton, VA, Chris Crabtree of Duffield, VA, Samantha Million of Appalachia, VA, her great-grandchildren Carson and Kylie Hyder of Elizabethton, TN, Kristen Crabtree of Duffield, VA, Bret and Daniel Coomer of Duffield, VA and Leona Belcher of Jonesville, VA, brothers and sisters Joe W. Cox (Loretta) of Cicero, IN, Earnestine Rasnic (Jackie) of Stickleyville, VA, Loretta Cox Davis (Harold) of Dryden, VA, Donella Lawson of Woodway, VA and Rick Cox (Tess) of Duffield, VA. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Rev. Tony Belcher officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM Thursday until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA.
