Obituary Troy S. Parsons age 84 of Jonesville, VA was born Thursday, November 30, 1933 in the Virginia Lee Community of St. Charles, VA and passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and enjoyed raising game chickens, riding his horses, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta Parsons, a son Cliff Parsons, his parents Dillard and Sarah Margaret Parsons, sisters Juanita Harber and Ivory St. John, brothers Edward, Clifford, James and Mick Parsons. Troy is survived by two sons Floyd Parsons of Jonesville, VA, Kevin Parsons and wife, Denise of Camby, IN, two daughters Ivory Parsons Brown and husband, George of Camby, IN, Jackie Parsons Davidson and husband, Charles of Camby, IN. He is also survived by seven grandchildren Shaun Parsons, Alexandria Parsons, Crystal Parsons, Lisa Parsons, Douglas Whitman, Kasey Parsons and Kelsey Parsons, eleven great-grandchildren, one sister Doris Ann Barnette of the Ocoonita Community and one brother Jackie Parsons of Kingsport, TN. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon Friday until the time of the service. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Province Funeral Home in Jonesville, VA with Bill Unthank officiating.
