Treva Burden Stewart, 99, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at Prairie Lakes Health in Noblesville, IN.Mrs. Stewart was born Thursday, February 15, 1917 in Clifty, TN. She was the daughter of the late John and Ethel Brock Burden. She was retired from the Donnkenny Sewing Company. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Pennington Gap and a member of the Powell Valley Rebekah Lodge # 50. She enjoyed her church activities, family gatherings, and visiting with friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Stewart; a daughter, Glenis Stewart Taylor; brothers, Waymon, Gennings, and Arnold Burden; sisters, Lois Vannoy and Mildred Travis; one sister-in-law, Opal Stewart Burden; and son-in-law, David Slaton. She is survived by two daughters, Jenean and husband, Bob Harber of Noblesville, IN.; Diane Slaton of Dallas, GA.; one brother Willard and wife Sue Burden of San Diego, CA.; one brother-in-law, Jim Travis of Jonesville; Four grandchildren and Five great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at Province Funeral Home, Pennington Gap, VA. On Saturday, February 20th. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Josh Osteen officiating.
