Obituary Thomas Wayne Mitchell, age 54, of Pennington Gap, VA in the Ben Hur Community,was born Sunday, September 26, 1965 in Chicago, IL and passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at his home in Ben Hur, VA He was preceded in death by his grandparents Tip and Ruby Fleenor, Noah and Stella Mitchell, one brother Charles Mitchell and one sister Phyllis Mitchell. Thomas is survived by his parents Noah Mitchell, Jr. and Doris Mitchell of the home; two brothers Albert Mitchell and wife, Jackie of Morristown, TN, Danny Mitchell and wife, Linda of Marion, NC. He is also survived by his uncle James Mitchell and wife, Lydia of Smithfield, VA; uncle Bud Mitchell and wife, Sue of Christiansburg, VA; aunt Dorothy Matthews and husband Charles of Johnson City, TN; aunt Judybell Sexton of Texas; uncle Delmar Fleenor and wife, Cindy of Kentucky; uncle Tiny Fleenor of Pennington Gap, VA; aunt Louise Alford and husband, Larry of Jonesville, VA; aunt Hazel McGuire of Nebo, NC and a host of many extended family and friends. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Saturday with Rev. David Robbins and Pastor Ray Robbins officiating. A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Sunday at Red Hill Cemetery in Pennington Gap, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM Sunday to go to the cemetery.
