Terry J. Hilton, 83, of Pennington Gap went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 25, 2024 at Johnson City Medical Center.

Terry was born on August 5, 1940 in St. Charles, Virginia to the late Horace Hilton and Oma Neeley Hilton. Terry had many odd jobs after his retirement from being an inspector for VDOT. Terry was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church of Pennington Gap. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Darla McDavid Hilton; sisters, Nancy Dingus and Virginia Coleman.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Rhonda Hilton Buck and husband Dr. Robert Buck Jr. of Big Stone Gap, Virginia; grandson, Robert "Robbie" D. Buck III of Charleston, South Carolina; brothers, Gary Hilton of Nashville, Tennessee and Ronnie Hilton of Pennington Gap, Virginia; sister, Faye Bruce of Harlan, Kentucky; special friend, Selena Light; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, March 29, 2023 at Pennington Gap Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Pennington Gap Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Ruth officiating. A committal service will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway with his nephews and friends serving as pallbearers.
