Stella Ruth Yeary, age 82, of Pennington Gap, VA went to be with the Lord early Saturday morning, July 11, 2026 while at the University of Tennessee Medical Center after a brief illness.

She was born July 26, 1943 in Pennington Gap a daughter of the late Roy Cleve and Hazel (Hacker) Goins. She was a member of the Rocklick Baptist Church and had been employed by the Lee County School System. She was a loving mother and grandmother, great and great-great grandmother. Her most favorite times were time spent with family, especially her grandchildren and their children.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son: Steven Baxter Yeary, one sister: Nella Goins Hartsock, one brother: Roy Goins and a special brother in law; B. G. Brewer.

She is survived by two sons: Kevin Goins and Jason Yeary and wife Monica. Three grandchildren: Chris Robinette, Derick Robinette and wife Sarah and Danielle Davis. Four great-grandchildren: Madison, Jacob, Amberly and Arielle. One great-great granddaughter: Penelope. Two sisters: Shirley Ramey and Joyce Brewer. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members also survive along with many friends and church family.

Grave side services will be conducted Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 2PM at the Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway with Pastor Chris Lane officiating. It is requested that those wishing to attend those services meet at the cemetery by 1:50PM. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
