Stanley Norman Penley age 58 of the Rock Lick Community in Keokee, VA was born in Pennington Gap, VA on Saturday, April 6, 1957 and passed away at his home on Sunday, October 4, 2015. He had been a coal truck driver and of the Methodist Faith. He had enjoyed working and building race cars and loved going to the drag races. He was preceded in death by his father Buford Penley. Stanley is survived by his wife Charlene Penley of the home, two sons Jeremy Penley of Big Stone Gap, VA and Billy Penley of the home, a daughter Cissy Penley of the home and his mother Dovie Penley of Pennington Gap, VA. Stanley is also survived by two brothers Wayne Penley of Pennington Gap, VA and Kerry Penley of Dryden, VA, one sister Norma Penley Rich and husband, Jeff of Pennington Gap, VA, a niece Trinity Penley and two nephews Ryne and Austin Penley. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA. Burial will follow at the Hensley Cemetery on Hwy. 987 in Smith, KY.
