Shirley Ann Woliver, 85, of Jonesville went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Lee County Community Hospital.

Shirley was born on January 31, 1940 in Jonesville, Virginia to the late Lee Sampson and Hazel Stapleton Sampson. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, mamaw, nene, sister, and was devoted to her flower garden.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "JC" Woliver; son, Ricky Jay Woliver; sisters, Marie Collier and Irene Davis; brothers, Ray Sampson, Junior Sampson, Dee Sampson, and Buford Sampson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Charlotte Green; son, Robert Woliver; brother, James Sampson; 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Pennington Gap Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Carlos Wolfe officiating.

A committal service will follow at Woliver Cemetery with Pastor Carlos Wolfe officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
