Shirley Faye Scott, age 79 of the Pucketts Creek Community of Pennington Gap, VA was born on Friday, December 3, 1937 in St.Charles, VA and passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Ridgecrest manor in Duffield, VA. She like to work with ceramics and was a member of the Methodist Church in Dryden, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Gladys Ewing; three children, Mike Cooper, Melissa Robinson and Brenda Brady; two sisters, Inez Ball and Nellie Ewing and two brothers, Kenneth Ewing and Earl Ewing. She is survived by her husband, Roy Scott of the home; three children, Deborah Cooper of Saucier, MS, Ricky Cooper of St.Charles, VA and Mickie Cooper of the Pucketts Creek Community; one special grandson, Kolin Cooper and wife Jessica of Prarieville, LA; one sister, Tina Bake and husband Gene; two brothers, Kenny Ewing and wife Beverly of Marion, IN and Darrell Ewing and wife Sue of St. Petersburg, FL; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also several nieces, nephews and many other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 1, 2017 in the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Paul Davis Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon Saturday until the time of the service.
