Shirley 'Loretta' Cox age 67 of Dryden, VA was born Friday, April 20, 1950 in St. Charles, VA and passed away Wednesday, January 17, ,2018 at the Norton Community Hospital in Norton, VA. She was a homemaker, of the Holiness Faith, loved to crochet and most of all loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Daniel E. Cox, Willie Mae Allen Cox and one sister Darlene Belcher. Loretta is survived by her companion Harold C. Davis of Dryden, VA, three daughters Betty Jo Stapleton and husband, Richard of Pennington Gap, VA, Angela Petrey and husband, Rick of Pennington Gap, VA and Tina Davis and husband, Leroy Bolton of Blackwater, VA, seven grandchildren Danielle Newton, Kayla Davis, Jennifer Sutphin, Susan Burkhart, Ricky J. Petrey, Justin Parks, Derek Parks and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers Joe Cox and wife, Loretta of Indiana, Ricky Cox and wife, Tess of Duffield, two sisters Earnestine Rasnic and husband, Jackie of Stickleyville, VA, Donella Lawson of Woodway, VA and many other family and friends. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 PM Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday with Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA.
