Obituary Shirley Ruth Cooper, age 68, of Pennington Gap,VA was born September 20, 1951 in Pennington Gap, VA and passed away March 29, 2020 in Harlan ARH hospital in Harlan, KY. Shirley loved her flowers, gardening, outdoors and her farm critters. She never met a stranger and loved serving the community. She loved her family and her son Jason. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Alexander and Elizabeth Wilson; her brothers Roy and Sam Wilson. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years Thomas Cooper of the home, one son Jason Lee Cooper of Belgium Hollow, three brothers Cecil Wilson and wife Christine of Pennington Gap, VA, Emmit Wilson and wife Kelen of Bristol, VA and Homer Wilson and wife Mary Jo of Columbus, OH and several nieces, nephews family and friends. A private graveside will be held at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA with Paul Davis, Jr. officiating.
