Sharon Cynthia Gibbs, 69, of Jonesville went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Holston Valley Medical Center.

Sharon was born on July 18, 1955 in Lee County, Virginia to the late Joe Greer and Billie Shupe Greer. Sharon was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and caring sister and aunt.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her son, Richard "Richie" Gibbs; and fur baby, Abigail.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Darry "Little Boy" Gibbs; daughter, Elizabeth (Mark) Sweeney; grandchildren, Nakita and Kaitlyn Gibbs, and Timothy (Baylee Bledsoe) Sweeney; sisters, Phyllis Stone of Alabama, Gerrie Greer of Alabama, and Katrinka Hundley of Dryden; fur babies, Taz, Lucky, and Arlo; along with several nieces and nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Powell Valley Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Steve Neff officiating.

A committal service will follow at Bethel Church Cemetery with Pastor Steve Neff officiating. Mark Sweeney, Darrell Hundley, Cecil Miles, Jody Ely, Nathan Bloomer, and Waylon Barber serving as pallbearers.
