Scott Pennington age 57 of Ben Hur, VA was born in Kingsport, TN on Wednesday, June 4, 1958 and passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. He was a heavy equipment operator at A&G Coal Company and loved his grandchildren, riding 4-wheelers, motorcycles, camping, traveling and being outside. Scott was baptized in 1992 and was a member of the Belchers Chapel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father Clyde Pennington. Scott is survived by a son Clint Pennington and wife, Katherine of Pennington Gap, VA, a daughter Breann Martin and husband, Justin of Rose Hill, VA, his mother Ruth Ann Pennington of Ben Hur, VA. Three grandchildren Noah, Logan and Landon Pennington, one brother Daniel Pennington and wife, Barbara of Ben Hur, VA, one sister Aletha Tomlinson of Dryden, VA and fianc, Roger Gardner of Norton, VA and six nieces and nephews Jason Pennington, Danny Pennington, Angie Cecil, Amy Lawson, Crystal Anne Berry and Megan Margotta. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Church Hill Memorial Gardens in Church Hill, TN. A visitation will be from 12:00 noon Saturday until time of the service at the funeral home.
