Sarah Effie Mosley, age 86 of Pennington Gap, VA was born in Pennington Gap on Saturday, January 24, 1931 and departed to her Heavenly home on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She had worked as a seamstress and was a homemaker. She was also a member of the Smyths Chapel Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Mosley; one son, Wayne Mosley; her parents, Marion and Camie Blackburn; one sister, Lola Blackburn and one brother, George Blackburn; one greatgrandson, Gunner Wayne Newton. Effie is survived by her daughters, Helen Pennington and husband John of Kingsport, TN; Norma Collingsworth and husband Gary of Dryden, VA; Mary Newton of Dryden, VA and Lisa Smith and husband Ray of Coeburn, VA; her son, Richard "Muff" Mosley and wife Sharon of Dryden, VA; 15 grandchildren, Jonathan Pennington, Beverly Pennington, Crystie Collingsworth, Justin Collingsworth, Jared Newton, Bradley Newton, Stacie Wilson, Tony Mosley, Todd Mosley, Amy Mosley, Amanda Smith, Kevin Smith, Chris Smith, Brittany Mosley and Craig Mosley; 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 P.M. Monday, September 4, 2017 in the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap with Darrell Hensley and Paul Davis Jr. officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. Monday until time of services. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday to go to the cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
