Ruth Kathleen Jessee Fultz, 102, of Bardstown, KY formerly of Pennington Gap, VA passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 24th, 2024 at home.

Ruth was the definition of loving, caring, selfless and kind. She was the best mom, sister, aunt, grandma, Mamaw, Sugar and friend one could ever hope for. Our hearts are broken, but we rejoice in the fact she is now with Jesus.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Mellie and Corra Jessee; her siblings Clyde Jessee, Juanita Staplekemper, Shirley VanZant and Sonny Jessee; son Jack Benny Fultz, a daughter in law Becky Fultz, a son in law Corky Cox and a grandson Jeffrey Strunk.

She leaves to cherish her memory - daughters Charlotte Miller of Jonesville,Va; Emma Cox of Bardstown,KY; Nancy Taylor of Kingsport,TN; and Liz (Glen) Strickland of Manassas,VA; one brother in law Bob Staplekemper; 10 grandchildren- Shawn (Jenny) Strunk, Jackie (Donald) Cantrell, Shannon Maddle, Aaron Taylor, Ryan (Amanda) Taylor, Kelly (Ched) Ferrell, Katie (Frank) Byrne, Jesse Strickland, Ali (Nick) Strickland and Selena Fultz. 3 step grandchildren - Steve (Beth) Cox, Kim Humkey and Terri (Andy) Stone, 17 great grandchildren, 8 step great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, 10 step great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation for Ruth Fultz will be Saturday, July 27th from 11am - 1pm at Pennington Gap Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 1pm with Pastor Paul Davis jr. officiating. David Witt will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Woodway.

Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of St. Charles and Phebian Sunday school class in Hodgenville, Kentucky.

Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
