Ruth Marcum Baumgardner age 93 of Rose Hill, VA was born Saturday, March 22, 1924 in Divernon, IL and passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of the Morgan Memorial Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Pete Baumgardner, her son, Ronnie Baumgardner parents Earnest and Vola Marcum, a brother Russell Marcum, sisters Phyllis Johnson, Virginia Greene, Janice Grabel, Margaret Baumgardner, Onalee Wright and infant sister Alma Marcum. Ruth is survived by three sons James Baumgardner and wife, Louise, Roger Baumgardner and wife, Debbie and Sammie Baumgardner and wife, Diane, three daughters Hazel Blair and husband, J.C., Ditty Sharpe and Betty Collins. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, one sister Sue Spurlock and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon Thursday until 2:00 PM at the Province Funeral Home in Jonesville, VA. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Pastor Tim Robinson and Pastor Ronnie Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow at the Van Huss Grove Cemetery in Rose Hill , VA.
