Obituary Roy Sutphin age 82 of Pennington Gap, VA was born Saturday, August 8, 1936 in Jonesville, VA and passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Indian Path Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. He had been a farmer and was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Sutphin, one daughter Donna Gray, one son Tom Taylor, parents Daniel and Iva Sutphin, step-father Walt Smith and a sister-in-law Mildred Sutphin. Roy is survived by three sons Wayne Sutphin and wife, Lana of Jonesville, VA, Daniel Sutphin and fianc, Stephanie of Alabama and Mitchell Sutphin of Jonesville, VA, two daughters Anna Marcum and husband, Tray of Jonesville, VA and Jane Parsons and husband, Chuck of Pennington Gap, VA, fifteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one brother Stanley Sutphin of Morristown, TN, two nieces and a host of extended family and friends. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. A memorial service will be at 1:00 PM Thursday with Doug Odgle officiating.
