Roy Lee "Hyde" Grizzle, born on December 29th, 1941, passed away on August 1st, 2024, at Lee Health and Rehab.

Roy was born on December 29, 1941 in Middlesboro, Kentucky to the late Woodrow Grizzle, Sr. and Lila Grace Gibbons Grizzle. He worked for several years as a butcher and a farmer before his retirement.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Willie Grizzle; infant sister, Margaret Grizzle; sister in law, Loretta Grizzle; and brother in law, Ken Allen.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Chester Grizzle, Henry Grizzle, and Woodrow Grizzle, Jr.; sisters, Lila Myrtle Horton and Gladys Allen; along with several nieces, nephews, and three great nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday August 4, 2024 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Jonesville, VA with Pastor Jerry Ingle officiating. Pallbearers/Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends including Woodrow Grizzle III, Morgan Graham, Robert Graham, Woody Horton, Rick Marcum, David Lamb, Lander Parker, and Roger Craig. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 3:50 PM.
