Roy William Bledsoe, Jr (Bunk) age 58, of Dryden, VA went home to be with the Lord on Good Friday, April 18, 2025 at the Lee County Community Hospital.

He was born January 20, 1967 in Lee County VA a son of Roy William Bledsoe, Sr and the late Dora Sue (Taylor) Bledsoe.

Along with his mother, he was also preceded in death by a infant son; Isaac Peter William James, a infant daughter, his grandparents; Hamp and Bernice Taylor of St. Charles, VA and James and Pearl Bledsoe of Pennington Gap, VA.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years April, 11 beautiful children, 3 beautiful grandchildren, his father Roy, Sr of Pennington Gap, VA, 3 aunts, 1 uncle, and a circle of cousins along with a host friends and other family members.

Bunk was a loving husband and father. He loved fishing, the outdoors and was a die hard Tennessee Vol fan. He was always doing something to help someone.

In keeping with Bunk's wishes, his body will be cremated. A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Low View Primitive Baptist Church, 565 Goose Collins Rd, Pennington Gap, VA with Pastor Steve Neff and Rev. Carter Hagar officiating. Earnie Bledsoe will provide music. After the service a meal will be provided and everyone is welcome to visit and fellowship with the family.

Roy William "Bunk" Bledsoe, Jr and his family are in the care of Powell Valley Funeral Home
