Roy Michael Anderson age 61 of Dryden, VA was born Monday, December 19, 1955 in Salem, IN and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. He lived his life in Lee County, worked as a coal miner and was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty (Skidmore) Anderson, parents Roy Lee Anderson and Irene (Nelson) Anderson, grandparents Miliam and Lily (Miles) Anderson, James Wesley and Alice (Collins) Nelson. He is survived by his daughter Heather Anderson of Virginia, grandson James Michael Anderson of the home and granddaughter Rebecca Jean Hope Stevens of Jonesville, VA. He is also survived by four brothers Robert Anderson and wife, Sheila and Jeffery Anderson all of Jonesville, VA, Richard Anderson and wife, Tammy of Pennington Gap, VA and Ron Anderson of Jonesville, VA, three sisters Marie Elaine Brewer and husband, Dave of Duffield, VA, Sandra Kay Miller and husband, Art and Kim Anderson all of Jonesville, VA and several nieces and nephews. Mikes wishes were to be cremated. Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Mt. Hope Baptist Church in Jonesville, VA with Pastor Chris Seal officiating.
