Rosa A. Wampler age 92, of Weber City, VA, went to be with the Lord late Friday evening, August 8, 2025 with her loving family by her side while at the Nova Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born November 27, 1932 in the Snowflake area of Scott County a daughter of the late Everett and Myrtle Lane Blankenbeckler. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. She was known as a motherly caregiver to many people throughout the years. If she met you, you were "one of hers".

She was the wife of the late Henry Boyd "Monkey" Wampler and they shared over 50 years together before his passing. She was also preceded in death by 4 brothers; 4 sisters; 2 grandchildren: Karen and Shawn Bledsoe and a son in law; Nilan "Bud" Cox.

Survivors include: Daughter; Kathy Cox of Fall Branch, TN 2 Sons; Donnie Wampler and wife Elois of the Daniel Boone section of Gate City, VA and Jeff Wampler and Karen Reynolds of Weber City, VA

Grandchildren: Maria Barnette (Kevin), Justus Wampler (Morgan), Jeremy Cox (April Compton), Dustin Eric Wampler, Landon Chase Wampler, Kenny Ray Stanford (Amanda), Kristopher Stanford and Caitlin Horton (Matt).

A host of great and great-great grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members also survive.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 11 AM until 12 noon at the Gateway Baptist Church (Formally Weber City First Baptist) 155 Shady Elm Lane, Weber City, VA.

The Funeral will follow with her grandson; Justus Wampler and her nephew; Gary Blankenbeckler presiding.

Following the services, she will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gary or Debbie Blankenbeckler for the care and upkeep of Snowflake Holiness Church. Those may be sent to 668 Brook Drive, Gate City. VA 24251.

The family would like to express a special thank you to all the caregivers at NOVA Health and Rehab and to her roommate, Charmaine Phillips.
