Ronnie Dale Woodard age 57 of Pennington Gap, VA was born in St. Charles, VA on Sunday, June 30, 1957 and passed away at his home on Sunday, April 12, 2015. He had been a resident of Detroit, MI for 25 years before returning to Lee County in 1995. Ronnie was of the Baptist Faith.He was preceded in death by one son Jacob Woodard, one daughter Jessica Woodard, his companion of 27 years Rose Ember, his parents Jess and Gladys Woodard, one sister Shirley Berry and four brothers Eddie Woodard, Wayne Woodard, Jessie Woodard and Bobby Haynes.Ronnie is survived by four sons Joshua Dale Woodard and Fiance, Molly of Knoxville, TN, Jason Edward Woodard and Fiance, Lisa of Cardwell, MO, Robert Ember of Pennington Gap, VA and Brian Woodard and Fiance, Tabitha of Pennington Gap, VA, and one daughter Jenny Adkins and husband, Brian of Mocksville, NC. He is survived by his nine grandchildren Joshua Allen Woodard, Riley Blake Woodard, Brayden, Fisher and Emmalynn, Jasmine Rayann Woodard, Ashley Marie Woodard, Brian James Adkins and Alex Joseph Adkins. Ronnie is also survived by two brothers Gary Woodard and wife, Susan of Jonesville, VA and Bill Haynes and wife, Doris of Pennington Gap, VA, three sisters Gay Roberts of Detroit, MI, Sue Woodard of Detroit, MI, Joann Musick of Pennington Gap, VA and many nieces, nephews and friends. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Rev. Larry Munsey officiating.Burial will follow at the Cecil-Fry Cemetery in Pennington Gap, VA.Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Province Funeral Home.
