Rondle Lee "Ron" Woodard, age 68, of Pennington Gap, VA passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at his residence after a very brief battle with cancer. He was born in Pennington Gap, VA November 23, 1954 a son of the late Elmer Ray and Ethel Evelyn Graves Woodard. He was a retired coal miner having worked mostly at Terry Glen Coal Company in Harlan County, KY. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers: James Woodard, Ed Woodard, Johnny Graves and Ralph Woodard.

He is survived by his sons: Chad Wayne Woodard (Wanda) and Jason Monroe Woodard (Katie)

Grandchildren: Keaton, Chandler, Sierra, Kassidy, Kennedy, Jamie, Cory, Emily, Jonathan and Addyson

1 Sister: Jo Ann Carver (Jack Hounshell)

1 Brother: Kenneth Woodard (Judy)

Several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family survive along with many friends including Waylon Stamper.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Pennington Memorial Cemetery, Highway 421, Pennington Gap, VA with Pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. It is requested that family and friends meet at the cemetery by 10:50 am for the graveside services.
