Obituary Ronald W. Franks loving husband of Nan Franks of the long hollow community passed away Friday, February 24, 2023 at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN. Ronald had been a Federal mining inspector for 31 years. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Grace Farmer Franks and brother Kenneth Franks, one daughter Susan Franks-Drake and a granddaughter Laura Drake. He is survived by his wife Nan Franks of the home son Clyde Franks and wife Karen of Big Stone Gap, VA, Karen Chase of Crescent City, CA, Regina Davis of Chapel Hill, NC, David Franks and wife Robbi of Monticello, Ky, Ed Franks and wife Shannon of Roebuck, SC numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 4pm to 6pm at Province Funeral Home, Pennington Gap. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM with Pastor Nick Brewer officiating.
