Obituary Roger Eugene Brandenburg, 59 of Pennington Gap, VA passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. He was born on September 2, 1961 in Frankfort, IN to Gerold Brandenburg and Peggy Brandenburg. Roger was married to Tammy Brandenburg in 2010, who preceded him in death in 2018 after 8 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by his parents. Roger is survived by his three children, Rusty Brandenburg of Terre Haute, IN, Ryan (Jessica) Brandenburg of Terre Haute, IN, and Ashley (Donald) Doan of Terre Haute, IN; brothers Robert (Gaylene) Brandenburg of Terre Haute, IN, Randy (Donna) Brandenburg of Frisco, TX; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Roger served in United States Marine Corp, attended Indiana State University and retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons as a Lieutenant, after 30 years of government service. In his spare time, Roger enjoyed playing guitar, time spent at the lake boating and fishing with his friends and NASCAR. The family would like to express gratitude for the gracious assistance by the staff from the Federal Correctional Complex in Lee County Virginia. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 PM Monday, September 14, 2020 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Pastor John Grimm officiating.
