Obituary

Obituary Robert Wayne (Bob) Quillen of Dryden, VA passed away peacefully at home on April 14th, 2023, at the young age of 62. Bob was born in Dryden, VA, he was a member of the Dryden Baptist church. He worked as a coal miner until he retired. Although Bob has gone home to be with the lord, he leaves behind his wife and two sons who were his pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jackie and Fran Quillen, Aunt Betty Sue Quillen and Father-in-law David Ely of Dryden, VA.
Survived by his wife Lawanna Quillen of the home. Two sons, Brandon Quillen of the home. And Robert and Morgan Quillen of Duffield, VA. Two sisters, Linda and Jim Myers of Duffield, VA and Brenda and David Kelly of Dryden, VA.
Three very special nieces, Kandice (KJ), Kelsie, and Kayla Ely of Dryden, VA.
Bob had two very good friends, Jerry Statzer and Sarge Ely, with many other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 12-1 PM at Pennington Gap Funeral Home and a memorial service will follow with Pastor Josh Osteen officiating.
A private family graveside service will be conducted at a latter date at The Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, VA with Pastor Josh Osteen officiating.
