Robert Clarence Perkins age 70 of Holmes Mill, KY was born Monday, July 23, 1945 in Avery County North Carolina and passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at his home. He retired as a logger and was a member of the Huff Settlement Baptist Church in Holmes Mill. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Bessie Perkins, two sisters Sudie Johnson and Charlotte Shrader and father-in-law Jack Baldwin. Robert is survived by his wife Nellie Perkins of Holmes Mill, KY, two sons Robert Perkins of Holmes Mill, KY and George Perkins and wife, Vanessa of Holmes Mill, KY, mother-in-law Pauline Baldwin of Harlan, KY, two brothers Johnny Perkins and wife, Geraldine of Jonesville, VA and Junior Perkins and wife, Louise of Bakersville, NC, six sisters Dalphie Bush of Holmes Mill, KY, Dorothy Bush of Holmes Mill, KY, Faye Bush of Holmes Mill, KY, Debbie Perry of Holmes Mill, KY, Lois Bledsoe of North Carolina, Ruth Whisman, a brother-in-law Bill Baldwin and three sisters-in-law Cora Robbins of Evarts, KY, Barbara Witt of Holmes Mill, KY and Helen Vanover of Alabama. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the Huff Settlement Baptist Church in Holmes Mill, KY with Gerald Jones officiating. Burial will follow at the Holmes Mill Cemetery.
