Rhonda Jacqueline Holmes, 70, of Keokee went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at her residence.

Rhonda was born on January 8, 1955 in Keokee. Rhonda loved to embroider, sew, and crochet, spend time with her family and friends, and care for her family. Rhonda was a loving aunt, caring sister, and adored friend.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Holmes, Jr.; and parents, James Orville Herron and Shirley Shephard Herron.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Ronald "Pinky" Herron and wife Carol; sister, Angie Ganter and husband George; caregiver and niece, Tia Johnson; along with several nieces, nephews, brother and sister in-laws.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Pennington Gap Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating.

A committal service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Holmes Family Cemetery with Pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 PM. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to express a special thank you to CARIS Hospice for their love and care of Rhonda.
