Obituary Ray Coomer age 64 of Sneedville, TN was born in Wise County, VA on May 30, 1958 and passed away February 28, 2023 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN after an lengthy illness of ALS. He was retired, loved hunting and fishing with his grandchildren. He was saved at a young age. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Carl Coomer and Mildred Clarence Coomer, sisters Bobbie Sue Coomer, Evelyn Caudill, brothers Dan Coomer and Fred Coomer. Ray is survived by his wife of 47 years Patricia Coomer of Sneedville, TN, daughter Catherine Lawson (Charles) of Eidson, TN, his grandchildren Gregory, Brandon, Ryan, Legend and Harlan, sisters Mary Laws (Alan) of Ohio, Ann Caudill (Wilbur) of Kentucky, Betty Coomer of Virginia and brothers Randy Coomer (Kathy) of Virginia, Jimmy Coomer (Carol) of Virginia, special niece Whitney Johnson (Mike) and many other nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, March 6, 2023 at Olinger Cemetery in Dryden, VA .
