Randall Joseph (Randy) McPherson, age 45 of Pennington Gap, VA was born in Pennington Gap on Thursday, October 22, 1970 and passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016 at his home in Pennington Gap. Randy loved country music, wrestling, watching the weather channel and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He attended the St. Charles Church of God. He was preceded in death by his father, Ethard Vernon (Joe) McPherson; his maternal grandparents, Henry and Lillie Davis and his paternal grandparents, Clay and Beulah McPherson. He is survived by his mother, Margaret McPherson of the home; three brothers, Ethard Vernon (Pudge) McPherson and wife Kimberly of Pennington Gap, VA; Jackie McPherson and Melissa Dye of Big Stone Gap, VA and Danny Ray (Peate) Horner and Melissa Hilton of Pennington Gap, VA.; two sisters, Cynthia Ann Grey and Mark Wayne Stapleton of Big Stone Gap, VA and Melinda Sue Davis and James Housley of Pennington Gap, VA. He is also survived by several special nieces , nephews and many friends. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, February 25, 2016 in the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Rev. Roy Webb and David Jones officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. Thursday until time of services. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 26, 2016 at the McPherson Family Cemetery in the Maple Hill Community in Jonesville, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M.
