Obituary Ralph Toomey age 86 of the Big Branch Community in St. Charles, VA was born Saturday, July 18, 1931 in St. Charles and passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 at his home. He retired as a coal miner and was a member of the UMWA. Ralph served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was of the Baptist Faith. He is preceded in death by his wife Margaret Toomey, his parent John and Sarah Toomey, sisters Thelma Mullins, Gladys Blankenship, Beatrice Fleenor and Sue Alsup, brothers Clarence Wells, Billy Toomey, Jack Toomey, Stanley Toomey, Raymond Toomey and George Toomey. Ralph of survived by his daughter Audrey Deirth and husband, Jerry of St. Charles, VA and two grandchildren Alicia Deirth, Jarrod Deirth, one great-grandchild Paxton Wilson and a host of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, VA with Stan Lewis and Jerry Deirth officiating.
