Obituary Polly Ann Snodgrass, age 75, was called to her Heavenly home on December 1, 2020 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born July 5, 1945 in Pennington Gap, VA to the late Elmer and Hassie Margaret Lundy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Snodgrass; her son, Jimmy Snodgrass; and her sister, Ina Lee Lundy. Polly is survived by her two daughters, Birdie and husband Denny Watkins of Corbin, KY; Becky and husband Rodney Pittman of Speedwell, TN; daughter in law, Jennifer Snodgrass of Jonesville, VA; two brothers, Willard Lundy and wife Kay of Chester, VA; Gail Lundy and wife Judy of Pennington Gap, VA; one sister, Debbie Lundy of Big Stone Gap, VA; seven grandchildren, Logan and wife, Hannah Sue Watkins, Jenna Watkins, Shelby Johnson, Tanner Pittman, Caleb, Gabe and Jacob Snodgrass. Polly was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church, Pennington Gap, VA where she volunteered in outreach ministries. She spent more than 40 years of her life dedicated to the Lee County School System. She was known as Miss Polly to many elementary children and she loved them as much as they loved her. She looked forward to each school year and was substitute teaching until about 1 month before her death. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Pennington Gap, Virginia. A funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM following the visitation with Pastor Josh Osteen officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 4, 2020 at the Snodgrass-Minor Cemetery in Flatwoods.
