Obituary Phillip Ray Miller age 69, of Pennington Gap was born on Friday, April 24, 1953 in Pennington Gap, VA. He passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lura Miller, wife Linda, two brothers, Johnny Miller, and Bill Miller, one sister, Sherry Ely and one nephew T.J. Ely. He is survived by three sons, Scott (Heather), of Pennington Gap, Chris (Terri), of Atlanta, GA and Brian of Pennington Gap. Three grandsons, Jonathan, Joseph, and Vincent and special friend and caregiver Jill Spivey. Phillip owned and operated Millers Auto Body repair shop in Ben Hur, VA for many years. He took great pride in his work. He also loved the outdoors and spending time of the lake with friends. Phillip was baptized in the Baptist church in Millers Chapel in 1974. He attended the First Christian Church in Pennington Gap, VA until his health declined. Phillip will be missed by so many who loved him. Arrangements will be made at a later date.
