Peggy Joyce Edgar age 73 of St. Charles, VA was born Sunday, April 2, 1944 in St. Charles, VA and passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, crossword puzzles and coloring. Peggy was a member of the Rock Lick Freewill Baptist Church and was a loving, caring mother to nine children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Lee Edgar, her children Randall Keith Edgar, Elizabeth Ann Garrett, Timothy Ray Edgar, a grandson Logan Chase Edgar, her parents Ulysses and Lillie Sexton and one sister Mary Ann Morris. Peggy is survived by her children Billy Wayne Edgar and wife, Michelle of St. Charles, VA, David Lynn Edgar and wife, Debbie of St. Charles, VA, Linda Gail Morelock of Jonesville, VA, Christy Lee Harless and husband, David of St. Charles, VA, Cynthia Michelle Sutton and husband, Brian of Jonesville, VA and Susan Marie Lanningham and husband, James of St. Charles, VA. She is also survived by her brothers Jack Stewart of Baltimore, MD, Lester Sexton of Baltimore, MD, Jerry Sexton of Piedmont, OK, David Sexton of Eastbend, NC and her sisters Dottie Woodard of St. Charles, VA and Barbara Sexton of Cicero, IN. A funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap, VA with Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM Thursday until the time of the service. A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Friday at the Pennington Memorial Cemetery in Pennington Gap, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 AM Friday to go to the cemetery.
