Patsy Marie Pridemore age 81 of the Pucketts Creek Community passed away July 20, 2026, in Pennington Gap, Va.

Patsy was born November 11. 1944 in Pennington Gap, Va.

She attended the Free Pentecostal Church of God at Pucketts Creek for forty years'

Patsy worked in the in a local sewing factory, the five and ten store for many years

Patsy is preceded in death by her loving parents Louis and Pansy (Rogers) Thomas, her beloved husband of 44 years Jim Pridemore; daughter Susie Bryant, brothers; Roger, Jimmy, Kenneth, Lonnie, and Bobby Gene Thomas, and her son-in-law Howard Smith.

Patsy is survived by two daughters Melanie (Mitch) Ewing and Gail Smith, granddaughter whom she raised Courtney (Ray) Blair, other loving grandchildren: Jimmy (Christa) Bryant, Sydni Smith, great-grandchildren: Trey Salazar, Carsen Bryant, Addison, Harper, Walker and Baylor Blair and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Visitation for Patsy will be held from 5:00p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2026, at Jones -Pennington Gap Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Jimmy Ewing, Jr. officiating.

A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Smith Cemetery 1326 Fleenotown Rd. in Jonesville, Va. 24263

Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:30a.m. Tuesday, July 28. 2026 to go in precession to the cemetery.
