Patricia Ann Carter "Nana", 65, of Hiltons went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 1, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia was born on June 27, 1958 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to the late Johnny and Claudine Billings. She was a faithful member of Independent Church of God in Hiltons. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great grandmother, loyal sister, and caring friend to many.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 37 years, Chris Carter; daughters, Sherry Goyette (Kevin), Jonie Lee (Shamale), and Jessica Garlick; sons, Christopher Carter (LaKeisha) and Jeffery Carter (Amanda); 19 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Kenny Billings, Don Billings, Richard Billings, and Johnny Billings (Cheryle); along with several nieces, nephews, and other family.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Carter Family Cemetery (876 Copperhead Lane, Hiltons, Virginia 24258) with Rev. Preston Harper and Rev. Rex McMurry officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:45 PM.

The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the nurses of Caris Hospice as well as the community for all the love and support during Patty's battle.
