Noah Ellis Mitchell Jr., 89, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 in North Carolina.

Noah was born on December 27, 1935 to the late Noah and Stella Mitchell in West Virginia.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris Mitchell; brothers, William Curtis Mitchell, Holbert Mitchell, John Mitchell, and Roy Mitchell; sister, Dorothy Matthews; sons, Tommy Mitchell and Charles Mitchell; a daughter, Phyllis Mitchell.

Those left to cherish his memory is his sons, Albert (Jackie) Mitchell and Danny (Linda) Mitchell; brothers, James Mitchell and Bud Mitchell; a sister, Judy Sexton; grand children, Albert Jr., Jennifer, Robyn, and Calvin; as well as a host of great grand children, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Pennington Gap Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow at Red Hill Cemetery in Pennington Gap, Virginia with Pastor Paul Davis Jr., officiating.
