Nell Marie Gilliam, 89, of Pennington Gap went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at her residence with her family by her side.

Nell was born on January 19, 1937 in Pennington Gap to the late Clyde Hall and Cora Bell Ramey Hall. Nell was a homemaker and took great pride in caring for her family. Nell was a devoted wife, a caring mother, a proud grandmother, a loving great grandmother and sister.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Guy Gilliam; son, Phil Gilliam; great granddaughter, Isabella Barber; sisters, Betty Miles and Doris Robinette; brothers, Leonard Hall and Bobby Hall.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Bridget Dorton; grandchildren, Jason Gilliam, Cory Gilliam, Courtney Dorton, Holly Townsend, and Savannah Dorton; great grandchildren, Caden Cochran, Carli Cochran, Cali Thomas, Addie Gilliam, Clay Gilliam, Dakota Townsend, Kayce Townsend, Winston Barber, Guyanna Barber, Camron Barber, Summer Burrow, Ashley Herron, Skylan Burrow, and Nadalee Burrow; sisters, Zoleen Lambert and Mildred Ann Freeman; Along with several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00PM on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Glass-Mullins Family Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Smith officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 11:50AM. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
