Obituary Goley Bernard Bryson Sr., 80, of St. Charles went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at his residence. Goley was born on June 8, 1942 in Lee County, Virginia. Goley was of the Baptist faith and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Saint Charles. He was a Coal Miner for many years until his retirement. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Goley is preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Janice Bryson; Parents, James Goldman Bryson and Alice Garlic Bryson; brothers, Harold Bryson, Roger Bryson, Jimmy Bryson; Sisters, Shirley Bryson Jones and Patsy Bryson Scalf. Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Bo Bryson; brother, James Lowell "Dickie" Bryson; sisters, Charlotte Blevins and Charmie Murphy; along with a host of several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Province Pennington Gap Funeral Home. A funeral Service will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Province Pennington Gap Funeral Home with pastor Wayne Baker and pastor Paul Davis, Jr. officiating. A committal service will follow at Pennington Memorial cemetery with Bo Bryson, Jay Bryson, Chuck Dean, Mitchell Bryson, Dickie Bryson, and Jimmy Taylor serving as pallbearers.
