Mozetta May Young, 80, of Pennington Gap went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Heritage Hall of Big Stone Gap.

Mozetta was born on March 1, 1943 in Virginia to the late Delmas and Ruby Stewert. She worked as a CNA at Ridgecrest Manor for many years until her retirement. Mozetta will surely be missed by all. She lived a life of helping others and providing for her son and family.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter, Clarissa Lynn Young; brother, W.D. Stewert.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Brandon Young of Pennington Gap; grandchildren, Lasondra Freeman of Flatwoods, Michael Young and fiance Natasha Smith of Pennington Gap, Angela Young of the home; great grandson, David Allen Lee Dingus; along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Pennington Gap Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Rev. Donald Robbins officiating. A committal service will follow the funeral at Lee Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
