Obituary Olin Milford Hammonds entered into this life on September 25, 1937 and departed into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the Holston Valley Medical Center. He was 82 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Bledsoe Hammonds, his parents, George and Goldie Hammonds, four brothers: H.L., Glenn, Bill, Ralph, and one sister, Lunette Huff. He is survived by his brother, Carol (Emma Gaye) Hammonds, and sister, Jeanette Million, two sons: Richard (Billy) Hammonds, Dennis (Deborah) Hammonds, his much-loved nephew Jeff Hammonds and son, Chad. His grandchildren: Jason (Vanessa) Hammonds, Michael (Valerie) Hammonds, Randy (Amy) Hammonds, Joshua (Ashley) Hammonds, Rikki (Richard) Smith, Nikki Rae Hammonds, Charles (Ursula) Ward, Christi (Marty) Rock, Misti (Tom) McCowan, and many beloved great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 18, 2019 at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, VA with Pastor Darrell Hensley officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon Monday until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Bledsoe Cemetery in Stickleyville, VA. Pall Bearers will be family members. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his honor to the American Heart Association and/or St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
