Mildred Ruth Ely, age 66, of Pennington Gap, VA, passed away Friday morning, January 12, 2024 while at the Lee County Community Hospital. She was born April 2, 1957 a daughter of the late Evan and Shirley McKinney Napier. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.

She is also preceded in death by: Husband, Anthony Ely, Brother: Joseph "Joe" Lee Napier.

She is survived by: Daughter: Natasha Ely and special friend/daughter Tiffany and kids: RaChone, Brandon and KayLynne and Son: Adam Ely

2 Brothers: David (Tracy) Napier, Peter (Jennifer) Napier 4 sisters: Evelyn Parks, Mary (Robert) Hoskins, Martha (Roger) Elkins and Rebecca (Kevin) McNeil

Several cousins, nieces, nephews and other family also survive along with a host of friends.

The funeral will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in the chapel of Pennington Gap Funeral Home with Pastor Shawn Allen officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 am until the funeral hour. The burial will follow in the Bledsoe Cemetery on Wallens Creek, Jonesville VA

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
